Brief: As Carmelo Anthony prepared for his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, he wanted to share the playbook for the next generation on how to beat the odds and succeed no matter where you come from.
Solution: We transformed Baltimore's Enoch Pratt Free Library into House of Melo: Where Tomorrows Are Promised, a three-month free, immersive exhibition designed to immerse guests in Carmelo's journey, from his roots to his evolution as an athlete, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural icon.
We disrupted the library's beige facade with an iconic red replica of Carmelo's childhood Baltimore home and inside guests explored personal archives and artifacts, a SiriusXM custom audio tour with ten distinct 3D soundscapes, and curated activations spanning his athletic career, business ventures, and fashion. The Sanctuary Collective, a Baltimore nonprofit supporting 750+ youth athletes, was embedded throughout the programming, with workshops on financial literacy, wellness, and storytelling.
Results: House of Melo became one of the signature experiences surrounding Carmelo Anthony's Hall of Fame induction, earning widespread national media coverage and reinforcing his impact and creating meaningful conversations around perseverance, storytelling, and legacy.
